First off there is many people making and selling Crystal Suncatchers and claiming them to be Swarovski Crystals, but are selling them very cheaply, if you find someone selling crystals very cheaply they are not Swarovski Crystals more than likely.  Swarovski Crystals truly are the best crystals in the world far superior in quality to any other crystals. They are a bit more expensive but worth every extra penny. I use only Swarovski Crystals here and if for some reason I was to use a different shape drop or beads I will say so in my add, I won’t lie to you.

My suncatchers are made with very attractive professional quality durable high quality silver pearl beading wire for most suncatchers that does not kink. The super long suncatchers I will use a strong clear fishing line. I use the finest quality materials to make my suncatchers such as sterling silver beading crimps to secure your suncatcher to the line and silver hooks to hang your suncatchers on your patio or home as well silver lobster claws for your car. Choose Swarovski Crystals when you want the best! They will outshine the cheaper crystals and you will love the sparkle. Each Suncatcher comes in a Cute Organza Drawstring Bag. Gift Boxes are available for purchase here

What is AB beads? (Aurora Borealis) and it's one of the most popular Swarovski® crystal coatings. It gives off a beautiful shimmering rainbow, or mother-of-pearl effect. These special coatings are bonded chemically to the outer surface of the Swarovski® crystals for a more brilliant effect.

Aurora Borealis 'AB'  is not a color but special coating finish, Aurora Borealis is available on many of the most popular crystal colors

Aurora Borealis finish, not only increases the brilliance of each crystal, this special application also produces color changes, as a direct result of variations, in the quality of light that falls upon it.

The 'Aurora Borealis' coating itself, consists of a metallic finish applied to a crystal surface using water. A very thin metallic particle sheen is adhered to the glass resulting in a significant enhancement to the crystal's overall brilliance and dramatic color changes.

These chromatic variations are dependant on the underlying crystal color and their intensity is affected by background light conditions. Spectral effects similar to those created when sunlight falls on oily water can also be seen.

The color variations range through the spectrum from light, almost imperceptible, blues to the deepest warm hues. The actual visible color changes depend greatly on the individual crystal cut, dimensions and color choice, as well as ambient light conditions but in general, darker backgrounds, tend to produce warm 'fire-like' colors, oranges, yellows, gold, reds and ambers. While in contrast, 'light' conditions produce ethereal blues, greens, lilac, purple and tones with a sense of unbounded 'space'. When applied to each crystal color particular specific variations can be seen, but in all, the 'Aurora Borealis' finish results in a stunning and brilliant display.

Swarovski Austrian Crystal is the finest quality, full-lead crystal you can find. Swarovski crystals are faceted with tremendous precision, creating beautiful prisms. These crystal gemstones come in an extensive range of shapes, sizes and colors. Swarovski Crystal is truly unmatched in quality and distinction, and have been producing crystals for over 100 years. Any crystal that is 28mm or larger that is full lead content will have a logo in the crystal. (This is what I have been told). For the most part this is true.

Swarovski Crystals are made in Austria. Swarovski makes two brands, Swarovski Strass, Spectra is the other brand and is lead free. Both brands make excellent rainbows due to the index of refraction and the angles they are cut. Swarovski Crystals are known throughout the world for their brilliance and for their famous figurines. The crystals are used in chandeliers', jewelry and other things. I love making things with the crystals.

Rainbow Rainbow

Rainbow rainbow in the sky please tell me why you're so high up there in the pretty blue sky?

I know why you're up there in the sky

My God has put you there as a promise to his people

Your colors are so beautiful, bright and true

I gaze at you with mystified eyes

The wonders of Gods ways will always amaze

I stand, watch and gaze and give praise to God who has blessed us with wonders beyond what we could ever imagine.

How I make the Rainbow Suncatchers

Find out about long and short crystal rainbow suncatchers here.

How I make the Rainbow Suncatchers..... (Some Styles) I now have many many styles these days but the old styles are made the following way - three round faceted Swarovski Crystal balls on the top and will change from Suncatcher to Suncatcher the middle round crystal might be clear or colored depending on the beads I have in my bead box. The three round faceted beads will compliment the suncatcher so you don't have to worry about that. Because all the colors are not easily available when I need them or want them in the faceted rounds I cannot say for certain what bead color will be placed on the top of the suncatcher.

A unique and one of kind your suncatcher is made especially for you as soon as you order it, they are not made up ahead of time. 10 to 14 Lily Strass Octagon beads in the center resemble the colors of the rainbow and swirl around and around with the focal point at the bottom and three round beads at the top.  Each Suncatcher is strung on Stern Fishing line, Tiger Tail with a metal hook for hanging in your home or silver pearl beading wire to hang in your car which is very attractive and strong. I also use sterling silver crimp beads to secure the suncatcher on the beading line or beading wire.

Hang your pretty suncatcher in a sunny window and watch the rainbows across your room. It's amazing and wonderful....you can't stop gazing! The kids will love them and so will you! You can alternately have your suncatcher made to hang in your car and I use a strong professional silver pearl beading wire with a hook to hang them in the rearview mirror.

The center beads are one holed Lily Octagons used in Chandeliers and other things too and they are also Swarovski logo etched.  One needs a jewelers loop to find the logo at times in Lily Octagons especially the darker ones, but the logos are there when you look at the beads in the light it's not a scratch.  I may use the following colors to make up the rainbow in the suncatchers and are as follows perhaps Antique Green AB which is Aurora Borealis and is one of the most popular Swarovski® crystal coatings. It gives off a beautiful shimmering rainbow, or mother-of-pearl effect. These special coatings are bonded chemically to the outer surface of the Swarovski® crystals for a more brilliant effect, next is Bordeaux red, dark topaz gold, light topaz, sapphire blue, rosalin pink and emerald green, blue violet purple and other purple colors and also rosalin pink. I also have other color Lilly Octagons, but are not used in the Rainbow Suncatchers, peridot green and clear beads. Some suncatchers are not logo etched usually crystals that are less then 28mm or the non strass components are not logo etched. Usually I try to post in each add if it is a strass or not.

Of course you will find other suncatchers that I make completely different from the above description.

What are the colors in a Rainbow?
